Why do I need to send messages in order to activate services?

1. Sending text messages is required for activating the following services: Find device, Mi Message, Xiaomi Cloud sync, and creating an account.
2. Sending 1 or 2 paid messages to your carrier allows us to verify your SIM card and make sure it's in service.
