Why am I notified that Find device or other services couldn't be activated?

  1. You might encounter problems with activating the following services: Find device, Mi Message, Xiaomi Cloud sync, and creating an account overseas.
  2. Here's why this might happen:
    • Your device might not be connected to the network. Check whether your Wi-Fi network and mobile data services work normally.
    • Your SIM card is out of service. Make sure your phone's balance is sufficient, your location has network coverage, and Airplane mode is off.
    • Your phone number couldn't be verified. Check whether the phone number you entered is correct and make sure your SIM card works normally.
    • You haven't agreed to the terms and conditions of our Privacy Policy. Remember that withdrawing your consent to our Privacy Policy will also deactivate these services.
    • If none of the cases above describe the problem you've encountered, try activating the service again or call our customer support.
