How do appeals work?

Unlocking your device by submitting an appeal helps in cases when you forget your password and it's impossible to reset it. Here's when this might happen:

1. Your device is marked as Lost by "Find device" and it's impossible to reset the password.
2. Your device is flashed when "Find device" is on.  

How to unlock

1. Entering your username and password is enough for unlocking your device.
2. If you don't remember your password, but have access to recovery phone or email, you can reset your password here.
3. If you can't access your recovery phone and email, you can reset the recovery methods here.  
4. If the account you're trying to unlock isn't yours, submitting an appeal might help. In such cases, visit this page: https://i.mi.com/find/device/activationlock#/.
